Let's Get Out Project

The Let's Get Out Project provides support for older people who would benefit from short term volunteer support to develop their confidence to increase their social networks. The aim is to increase their confidence and skills to participate in activities.

Volunteers work with individuals using a person centred approach to identify their goals and aspirations and assist in resolving any barriers they have to achieving them. This could be through escorting them or providing transport to activities and clubs, through to support to undertake daily activities such as walking to the shop, visiting the community café or taking public transport to visit a friend living further away.
